We can paint...............

April weather can be so frustrating. A beautiful sunny day followed by today. Dark and cold. Too cold to work outside and Mike has issued a moratorium on tearing anything apart inside this week. He says we should paint the ceiling on the sun porch. Oh, alright. Sue

Black Cherry Ice Cream...............

I'm feeling sorry for myself today. I'm missing our shop, The Red Ladder. I know we can't have the shop right now. I know we need to fix this white house right now. I know this Black Cherry ice cream is not the answer right now, but I think I may have some anyway. Sue

Spring green...........

The big maple trees that shade our sun porch are leafing out in a lovely shade of spring green. Sue

Mounds of yellow..........

A huge stately white house once stood across the street and up the hill a few feet from our house. I've only seen pictures of it, but the property remains beautiful. There are old stone walls, big cement steps, moss covered sidewalks, a stone garage, masses of forget-me-nots and violets, ivy,lilacs and this massive old growth forsythia hedge.

Back to work...........

My rusty 1980 model wheelbarrow finally gave out. It has moved it's share of dirt. I thought I would have the rest of the day off, but Mike just came home with a new red wheelbarrow. Back to work. Sue

First cup of coffee..........

I like coffee, but I've decided I love carrying it around more than drinking it. In the summer I take my first cup outside very early to start watering. I put it down to move the sprinkler and on it goes. By sunrise there are cups on fence posts, in trees, and on steps and window sills. I realize after awhile I haven't had my first cup of coffee yet. Sue PS. Mike says don't forget all the cups on the back of the suburban that have gone to town and back without falling off!
